Microneedling

Microneedling

In Gilbert, AZ

Microneedling, or collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive cosmetic treatment designed to enhance the skin’s appearance and health. This treatment involves using a single-use needle device that creates tiny micro-injuries in the skin. These micro-injuries stimulate the skin’s natural healing process, promoting collagen production. As a result, microneedling improves skin texture, reduces pore size, softens acne scars, improves superficial fine lines, evens skin tone, and offers overall rejuvenation.

Microneedling with PRP

Microneedling with PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) elevates the traditional microneedling procedure to a new level. PRP is derived from the patient’s blood and is rich in growth factors that can enhance the skin’s natural healing process. During microneedling, PRP is infused directly into the micro-injuries created by the needles, amplifying the benefits. This synergistic treatment accelerates healing and boosts collagen production, producing better and longer-lasting results. It’s an excellent option for those seeking a more holistic approach to skin rejuvenation, harnessing the body’s own regenerative properties.

Microneedling with Exosomes

Microneedling paired with exosomes represents a cutting-edge advancement in skincare. Exosomes are nano-sized vesicles naturally released from cells and are packed with growth factors, proteins, and RNA that play a pivotal role in cell-to-cell communication. When introduced to the skin during a microneedling procedure, exosomes amplify the skin’s regenerative capabilities. This combination enhances the immediate benefits of microneedling and promotes long-term skin health by optimizing cellular function and communication. For those seeking a restorative treatment, but prefer not to have their blood drawn, microneedling with exosomes offers a promising avenue to achieve radiant, youthful skin.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Anyone looking to improve their skin texture, tone, and overall appearance is a good candidate for microneedling. A consultation is recommended prior to assessing individual needs and suitability.
While some improvements can be noticed immediately after the treatment, optimal results typically appear within a few weeks to months as the skin heals and produces more collagen.

Results can vary based on skin types and conditions, but they generally last several months. Regular treatments help maintain and enhance the results.

There may be some redness following the procedure, much like after a mild sunburn. This typically occurs immediately after the procedure and will subside within a couple of days.
In the days leading up to the treatment, minimize sun exposure and discontinue retinol and retinoid products. After the procedure, keep the skin clean, cool, and protected from the sun. Your skincare professional will provide detailed post-care instructions.
Topical numbing cream is applied before the treatment in order to ensure comfort. The microneedling device then glides over the skin, creating tiny micro-injuries. The procedure is relatively quick and most patients report a mild prickling sensation.

Any aesthetic service that causes any kind of downtime (i.e. dermal filler or Sculptra, Kybella, laser, BBL, microneedling, Vivace, chemical peels) requires a consultation first. It’s important that our providers assess your skin and goals in detail to ensure the appropriate treatments are selected for you and that you and your skin are adequately prepared. Treatments that CAN be done in conjunction with a consultation the same day include dermaplaning, HydraFacial, DiamondGlow and Botox.
